Rates
As with most freelancers, my rates are highly variable although I do spend a good deal of time working to ensure that my rates are very competitive. I am flexible and prefer to base rates upon the requirements of a particular job rather than a simple flat rate. This means that for something as simple as a 400 word article the price could be as low as $20.00, while an 800-1,200 word feature article could be $200.00 or higher. For the most part, how much rates will be depends upon the requirements of the job such as research, formatting, deadlines, determination of rights, and other related items. It’s possible a job could be worth only $25.00, but the only way to determine this is by having some clear requirements to assess.
In order to make the process simpler, I’ve set some very basic guidelines to go by when trying to determine if my services are for you. None of these are set in stone and are open to negotiation. Jobs over 2,000 words are estimated on an as proposed basis.
$35.00 an hour flat rate.
Feature articles. Examples- 600 words= approx $60-$100.00 & 800-1,200 words= 100-$200.00
SEO article writing. Examples- 400-600 words=35-$60.00 & 600-1200 words= 60-$200+
Press releases. Examples- 25-$100.00= 400-600 words.
Articles come in Word Doc. format unless another format is agreed upon. I can provide simple text, HTML and PDF also with some restrictions. I am very flexible and understand that few if any of us have an unlimited budget, so even if you’re not sure you can afford it, contact me and I’ll be happy to see if I can work within your budget to help you make the most of your efforts for the best price possible.
